Pencils are erasable. Pens are not. Pencils are good for note-taking or schoolwork. Pens look more professional and can be smoother to write with.
Between pencils and pens, which is cheaper?

When you write something down your brain works harder to think of what to write, making you understand it better than if you were to just type letters on your keyboard. Most of the time typos can be corrected easier and the writing can go much faster on keyboard than if you were writing so comprehension of the material is better.
This can cause students to do better on tests if they have handwritten all of their notes because their brain has to think about everything it was putting down on paper.
Are Mechanical Pencils Cheaper?
When buying pencils you can choose regular wood or plastic or mechanical pencils. Pencils need to be sharpened but mechanical pencils are just a click away from more lead. Are mechanical pencils cheaper than No.2 pencils?
Mechanical pencils are not cheaper than regular pencils. They are slightly more expensive but they do not have to be sharpened and their lead is also refillable.
Even though a mechanical pencil is more expensive than a wooden pencil, its lead is refillable. The refillable lead is cheap to purchase so overtime you should save money with mechanical pencils.
It is nice to write with a mechanical pencil because you can just click the top to drop the lead down and continue writing instead of having to get out a sharperpener, sharpening the pencil and then continuing to write. However, with a mechanical pencil, the lead seems to break more often than a traditional No. 2 pencil will.
Some prefer mechanical pencils over wood pencils and vice versa. Whatever you choose, it’s important that the writing tool fits comfortably in your hand especially if you are doing some long-term writing.
