Imagine an office setting where a meeting is being held. At the front of the room stands one of the employees holding a dry erase marker. Behind him is a whiteboard which in this case we will say is made out of acrylic or plexiglass. As he displays numbers and lines representing sales of the business his maker glides smoothly over the surface and is easily seen by all the other employees viewing it.

Now imagine a classroom setting, students sit at their desks facing towards the teacher who stands in front of a whiteboard. They form numbers and letters on the board using the dry erase marker, the acrylic surface accepting the marks written.

The student can see the marks well without getting distorted by previously erased markers left behind. These illustrations help you to see that dry erase markers are great for writing on whiteboards and even work on acrylic and plexiglass.
